Bush Kaleidoscope
SOLD! $1,230 (W 1200mm x H 500mm x D 45mm)
Acrylic on canvas
In Bush Kaleidoscope, I explore the layered beauty of Australia’s botanical diversity through stylised, folk-art-inspired forms. I’ve chosen native and ornamental species like protea, Sturt desert pea, wattle, banksia, hypericum to create a rhythmic, immersive composition.
Like looking through a kaleidoscope, the work invites viewers to discover new details each time they look. It's both personal and playful—an exploration of how colour, shape, and memory intersect in nature. My hope is that viewers feel a sense of movement and wonder, and perhaps see familiar blooms in a new light.

BLOOM THREAD STORIES
SOLD! $780 (W 500mm, H 760mm, D 45mm)
Acrylic on canvas
Bloom-thread Stories is a layered exploration of the intricate relationships between Australia’s flora, and the quiet narratives they hold. In this work, I’ve brought together a vibrant mix of native plants like Wattles, Banksia, Protea, and Bottle brushes with detailed background patterns.
Inspired by folk-art patterns and the organic structure of the bush, the composition plays like a thread in a woven textile, creating a visual rhythm that echoes the natural world. These stories don’t shout—they hum quietly beneath the surface, stitched into the land itself.
Bloom-thread Stories is my way of capturing those subtle, meaningful connections—between species, seasons, and the stories we carry with us.

The Blooming Botanica
$1,050 (W 910mm, H 450mm, D 45mm)
Acrylic on canvas
The Blooming Botanica is a vibrant celebration of Australia's native floral heritage. This work brings together a diverse collection of native blooms — from bold and sculptural forms to delicate, softly layered petals — capturing the wild elegance of the bush in full flower.
While the fiery flame lily of the valley, the soft-leaved native peanut tree, and the golden wattle stand out within the composition, they are joined by an array of other native species that intertwine across the canvas. Each plant is rendered with close attention to its natural form, colour, and rhythm, creating a dynamic interplay of texture and light.
Through this detailed botanical arrangement, the painting reflects the resilience, richness, and quiet beauty found in Australia's landscapes — a tribute to the complex and often overlooked brilliance of native flora.

Beneath and Beyond
SOLD! $330 (W 450mm, H 900mm, D 45mm)
Acrylic on canvas
Beneath and Beyond is a layered reflection on the Australian outback its vast skies, textured lands, and the unseen stories that lie beneath the surface. Painted in a contemporary folk style, the work is rich with pattern and rhythm, echoing the natural contours of the land: rolling hills, cracked earth, riverbeds, and skies that shift with light.
Vibrant, earthy tones—ochres, rust, and clay—intermingle with cool blues and soft neutrals, offering a refreshing contrast between earth and sky. Decorative motifs thread across each layer, speaking to both natural forms and cultural memory. The composition invites the viewer to travel vertically through the canvas, from grounded roots to open skies, from history to hope.
Beneath and Beyond is both a landscape and a story—a celebration of place, perspective, and the quiet strength of country.

Pulse of the Bush
$1,050 (W 600mm x H 810mm x D 25mm)
Acrylic on canvas
Pulse of the Bush is a celebration of the vibrant energy that flows through Australia’s native landscape. This work brings together native flora and birdlife—bold blossoms, branching gums, bright Red-Hot Poker and the flicker of Honeyeater, Wren and majestic Cockatoos —all arranged in a rhythmic, patterned composition inspired by both natural movement and decorative traditions.
Rather than depicting the bush as still or quiet, I wanted to express its heartbeat—the way leaves rustle, birds dart between branches, and colour seems to shift with the light. The composition uses layered forms and stylised detail to suggest this constant motion, where nothing is truly still, and everything is alive with quiet urgency.
Through the interplay of pattern, shape, and bold colour, Pulse of the Bush reflects not just what we see in the landscape, but what we feel: the hum beneath the surface, the energy in the air, and the wild, connected rhythm that ties it all together.

Golden Bush Reverie
SOLD! $330 (W 400mm, H 500mm, D 45mm)
Acrylic on canvas
Golden Bush Reverie is a vibrant celebration of iconic Australian native flora through the lens of contemporary folk art. At its heart lies a radiant golden patch, richly adorned with intricate patterns that evoke the textures of traditional craft and storytelling. Surrounding this luminous center, bold and stylized depictions of Sturt’s desert pea, banksia, and kangaroo paws emerge against a tapestry of layered motifs.
The interplay between the patterned background and the golden core creates a dynamic visual rhythm rooted in heritage yet modern in execution. The flora’s distinctive forms are both symbolic and ornamental, inviting viewers to explore the deep connection between land, culture, and art.
Golden Bush Reverie honors the spirit of the landscape and its stories, blending tradition with fresh, contemporary expression.

The Dreaming Garden
$1,050 (W 910mm, H 450mm, D 45mm)
Acrylic on canvas
The Dreaming Garden is a deeply personal work that reflects my connection to the Australian landscape. As I painted, I felt immersed in a dreamlike world where native flora and fauna pulse with myth and memory. Using bold colours and folk-art patterns, I aimed to create a rich, textured environment that celebrates the unique personality of bottlebrush, banksia, gum trees, and galahs.
This piece allowed me to blend tradition with a modern visual language, creating a space that feels both familiar and enchanted. I feel a strong sense of joy and reverence for the natural world through this painting. It’s a celebration, but also a quiet invitation to look more closely—to see the stories living in the land.
I’m proud of how this work holds beauty and meaning, and how it speaks to my ongoing exploration as an artist grounded in place and imagination.

Patterns of the Bush
$1,050 (W 910mm, H 450mm, D 45mm)
Acrylic on canvas
Patterns of the Bush is a tribute to the layered beauty of Australia’s native landscape. As I painted, I was drawn to the repetition and rhythm found in nature- the intricate forms of leaves, blossoms, and bird feathers all of which seem to speak their own quiet language. Using bold colours and stylised patterns, I aimed to honour both the structure and spirit of the bush, blending traditional folk influences with a contemporary sensibility.
This piece carries a sense of both order and freedom, much like the landscape itself. I feel a strong connection to this work; it reflects the calm I find in natural spaces and the creative energy they inspire. It’s a celebration of the bush not just as scenery, but as a living, breathing pattern of stories, cycles, and quiet resilience.

Wild Threads
SOLD! $250 (W 250mm, H 250mm, D 45mm)
Acrylic on canvas
A vibrant tapestry of Australian native flora, interwoven with folkloric patterns and spirited color. Each bloom and branch dances through stylized, hand-crafted forms — stitching together the wild beauty of the bush with the soul of contemporary folk art.

Rainbow in the Bush
$420 (W 300mm, H 400mm, D 45mm)
Acrylic on canvas
I created this piece as a joyful celebration of Australia’s native flora and fauna. In Rainbow in the Bush, you’ll see a playful lorikeet perched among vibrant bottlebrush one of my favourite plants to paint because of its texture and colour. Nearby, you’ll notice clusters of native plums with their rich tones, anchoring the composition and adding depth. Delicate native orchids are woven throughout to bring a sense of flow and contrast.
The kangaroo paws, with their bold, reaching forms, add movement and a sculptural quality. Behind it all, the background is layered with intricate patterns swirling motifs and stylised leaves drawing inspiration from folk art traditions, reimagined through an Australian lens. I wanted the whole piece to feel alive and textured, much like the bush itself. It’s bright, whimsical, and full of energy, just like the landscape that inspired it.

The Patterned Bush
$780 (W 500mm, H 760mm, D 45mm)
Acrylic on canvas
The Patterned Bush is a vibrant celebration of Australia’s rich botanical heritage, rendered in a contemporary folk-art style. At the heart of the composition are native blooms like Banksias with their bold forms, the striking native peanut tree seed pods, bursts of flowering gum, and the striking silhouettes of kangaroo paws. Each element is lovingly detailed, their natural beauty accentuated through vivid colour and stylised form.
The background, meticulously segmented into patterned sections, provides a rhythmic, almost quilt-like backdrop that complements the organic shapes of the flora. This interplay of structure and spontaneity creates a dynamic tension, one that honours tradition while embracing modern aesthetics.
The Patterned Bush invites viewers into a joyful landscape where nature, story, and design reflect a deep connection to land and pattern.

Chaos in Bloom
$190 (W 250mm, H 250mm, D 45mm)
Acrylic on canvas
Chaos in Bloom explores the wild, unstructured beauty of nature at its most expressive. Bold brushstrokes and layered textures create a vibrant collision of native-inspired blossoms like proteas, wattles, and imagined forms bursting across the canvas in rich reds, golden yellows, and earthen tones.
There’s no symmetry or stillness here only the vibrant pulse of growth, resilience, and seasonal transformation. It’s a portrait of nature not as delicate, but as a force chaotic, alive, and endlessly blooming.

Whispers of Blossom
$190 (W 250mm, H 250mm, D 45mm)
Acrylic on canvas
In warm layers of red, golden yellow, burnt orange, and earthy neutrals, Whispers of Blossom evokes the untamed beauty of Australia’s native flora. Abstract impressions of proteas and wattles bloom across the canvas in expressive brushwork and textured forms alongside native hibiscus bottle brush and daisies.

Feathered Tapestry
$210 (W 300mm, H 400mm, D 45mm)
Acrylic on canvas
Set against layered hues of blue, Feathered Tapestry blends contemporary folk aesthetics with rich symbolic detail. Intricate background patterns evoke the texture of a handwoven textile, creating a visual rhythm that both grounds and elevates the composition.
Vibrant poppies and daffodils emerge in full bloom, their bold tones providing a lively contrast to the cool backdrop. Nestled among them, two birds offer a quiet focal point representing harmony, connection, and the natural cycles of life.
This work invites the viewer into a contemplative space where flora, fauna, and pattern interlace to form a living tapestry of color, story, and spirit.

Meet Eksha...

I'm a versatile visual artist driven by a deep passion for creativity and self-expression. My work is deeply rooted in the rich traditions of Folk Art.
Inspired by the vibrant colors, whimsical motifs, and storytelling elements of folk art traditions that I grew up with, I blend these influences with my own unique perspective. I use florals not just as subjects, but as characters in a larger visual folklore.
Folk art traditions inspire the symmetry, stylization, and decorative elements in my paintings. I see patterns not just as aesthetic, but as cultural code: a way to preserve and pass down stories. Through this lens, each painting becomes a kind of textile or totem—a stitched-together story of bushland, beauty, and belonging.
Through my art, I strive to capture the essence of community, heritage, and the human experience, using a variety of mediums and techniques. Each piece is a homage to the beauty of simplicity and the power of cultural storytelling, inviting viewers to connect with both the art and its narrative.
Join me on a journey where tradition meets contemporary expression, as I continue to explore and celebrate the timeless allure of folk art through my creations.
